Abacha men still ruling us and nobody is talking

Rufai Oseni just dropped a truth bomb on X today and I have been thinking about it since morning. He said those who served Abacha are still relevant and enjoying government appointments even now in 2026. Happy democracy day indeed.

Look around Abuja and Lagos and tell me who is running things. The same faces from the 90s are still there collecting salaries and making decisions. They ate during military rule and they are eating now under democracy. Meanwhile MKO Abiola died for this transition and his own children are struggling.

So we are celebrating June 12 but the same system Abacha built is still standing. Be honest does democracy in Nigeria mean anything when the old guards never left?
