Morocco silence us on penalties, Super Eagles out of AFCON 2025 final

Morocco just beat Nigeria 4-2 on penalties in the AFCON 2025 semi-final. The match ended 0-0 after 120 minutes, and our boys couldn't handle the pressure from the spot. This is the first time Morocco reaches the final since 2004, while we finished second in the last edition.

I don't even know where to start. We dominated possession stats but couldn't score in open play or extra time. The Atlas Lions have now beaten us three times in AFCON meetings out of five total. Our only semi-final win against them was in 1980 when Felix Owolabi scored that famous goal.

So now we face Egypt for third place on Saturday while Morocco plays Senegal in the final. Another trophy opportunity gone. When will this team actually win something meaningful?
