Tinubu says criticise him but don't lose faith in Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu just dropped his Democracy Day message today, and he is asking Nigerians to keep believing in the country even when they criticise him and his government. He said constructive criticism is necessary for leadership and accountability, but he warned that people should not let their anger turn into despair or loss of confidence in the Nigerian project.

Na wa o. I get where he is coming from because nation-building is hard and reforms dey painful sometimes. But when you see fuel price hitting almost N900 per litre and your salary still the same since last year, how do you separate criticism from losing faith? He said we must continue to believe in a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria, but the reality on ground for people in places like Benin City or Kano is not matching that talk.

Abeg, be honest with yourself. Can you really criticise this government every single day and still hold onto hope for Nigeria? Or is the hope just a luxury for people wey no dey feel the hardship directly?
