Inflation finally dropping but does your pocket agree?

CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso and the MPC team are celebrating o. Inflation dropped from 34.8% in December 2024 to 15.15% last December. The NBS report even shows food inflation fell from 39.84% to 10.84% year-on-year. Tomatoes, garri, eggs, beans all cheaper now according to the data.

But I dey look my own market basket for Makurdi and I no sure my wallet don get the memo. Cardoso say investors returning and that after stability comes investment and after investment comes growth. He tell us Nigerians go feel am in the fullness of time. Abeg which time be that? When MPC hold rate at 27% again and banks still no dey lend to real sector?
