Defense Minister says even security forces are victims of insecurity

So General Christopher Musa (rtd) was on The Platform today for June 12 and he said something that got me thinking. He said security forces are not enemies of the state, that we are all victims together. He talked about his time as commander in Operation Hadin Kai for 19 months and how the worst thing is meeting families of fallen soldiers or seeing those who lost limbs to IEDs.

Na true, these soldiers dey suffer. But at the same time, we citizens dey suffer too. When you no fit sleep because of fear or your village don become no-go area, you go still feel like victim. So who is really fighting for who?

He appealed for cooperation, saying we must honor and support them. Abeg, support with what? Our taxes? Our silence? I just want to know one thing: if we are all victims, who is the enemy?
