Gunmen strike Kwara communities again, one dead, many kidnapped

Armed bandits attacked multiple communities in Isin and Ifelodun local government areas of Kwara State on Thursday night around 10 p.m. According to local sources, they abducted several residents and killed one person during the raid.

In Gaa-Alla, two people were taken away by the terrorists, a source told Sahara Reporters. The number of people kidnapped in Gaa-Oke Abba is still unknown because efforts are ongoing to determine the full extent of the attack. In Famole, one resident died after villagers confronted the attackers and exchanged gunfire.

The police had not issued any official statement as of the time of this report. This is happening less than three weeks after the presidency warned residents to avoid isolated prayer locations due to rising insecurity. When will these communities get peace?
