Benue pensioners union disowns fake protest against Gov Alia

So these people calling themselves Concerned Pensioners went to protest in Makurdi on Wednesday, claiming they regret buying nomination form for Governor Hyacinth Alia. But the real Benue State NUP chairman, Comrade Michael Vembe, came out on Thursday to say those protesters are complete impostors and hirelings. He said the union never supported buying that form in the first place and actually rejected it publicly through media.

Vembe is now calling on security agencies to deal with those fake protesters. Meanwhile he says the real NUP is currently negotiating with Alia's government over unpaid inherited arrears and that payment process has started. He even pledged full support for Alia's 2027 re-election bid.

So who paid those people to protest and what exactly are they trying to achieve? The real pensioners are suffering over their unpaid money and some people are out here playing politics with their name.
