June 12: Every election cycle produces a worse result – Prof Udenta

Prof Udenta O. Udenta really said what we all dey think but too afraid to admit. He spoke on Trust TV on Friday and dropped truth bombs about our democracy. He said every election cycle produces a worse outcome and that this democracy is not homegrown, it is something we imported and we are forcing it to work.

He even pointed out how the presidential system is expensive and wasteful, giving governors and presidents billions of naira to waste legally. That one hit me because it is true. We celebrate June 12 every year but the reality is that our elections keep getting worse. So tell me, are we really making progress or we just dey deceive ourselves?
