Bauchi Police Rescue 4-Year-Old Boy From Kidnappers Who Demanded N5 Million Ransom
5 months ago
Bauchi police just rescued a four-year-old boy named Musa from two kidnappers who snatched him from his family's front gate in Gida Dudu Housing Estate on June 9. The police spokesperson SP Nafiu Habib said one suspect Muhammad Usman, 39, lured the boy away and took him to his accomplice Hayatudeen Ahmad, 40, who lives in the same estate.
Muhammad Usman even deceived Hayatudeen Ahmad by claiming the boy was his sister's son and that she was critically ill, then later wrote a ransom note demanding N5 million from the victim's father. The police tracked them down through intelligence work and arrested both suspects on June 10 after the father reported the kidnapping.
The boy has been reunited with his family but this story shows how these criminals operate right inside our own neighborhoods. CP Aliyu Sani-Omolori advised parents to teach their children not to trust strangers. How do we even protect our kids when people living in the same estate can do this kind of thing?
