Seriake Dickson just admitted NDC primaries were a mess

Seriake Dickson, the NDC national leader, went on Arise TV last night and straight up said the party's primaries had irregularities. He blamed the whole thing on the Electoral Act 2026 for forcing direct primaries, saying INEC doesn't even have the capacity to handle it. I mean, if the man leading the party is admitting it wasnt perfect, then we know it was really bad.

But the part that got me is how he dismissed Aisha Yesufu's complaints. Dickson said she felt she was 'popular on social media' and 'might not want to play by the rules of the game.' Like, so because she has a voice online, her concerns dont matter? That's the kind of thinking that keeps our politics dirty.

He also said the party doesnt sell tickets to the highest bidders but then turned around and said they check aspirants' 'sources of funding' for campaigns. Which one is it? Be honest, do you think any Nigerian party can run primaries without money playing a role?
