Nigerian forward Akor Adams has completed a move to German Bundesliga side Schalke 04, signing a contract that runs until June 2028. The 24-year-old joins from Ligue 1 club Montpellier, where he scored 10 goals in 46 appearances over two seasons.
Adams expressed his excitement about the transfer, stating: "Schalke is a club with a huge history and incredible fans. I am ready to give everything for this badge and help the team achieve its goals." The Nigerian striker becomes the second Super Eagles player to feature for Schalke, following in the footsteps of former international defender Chinedu Ogbuke. Schalke currently competes in the 2. Bundesliga after relegation from the top flight in 2023. Adams is expected to bolster their attacking options as they push for promotion back to the Bundesliga.
