Aisha Yesufu rejected a House of Reps ticket from Peter Obi and Dickson

Seriake Dickson dropped a bombshell yesterday in Abuja. He said he and Peter Obi personally offered Aisha Yesufu a House of Representatives ticket for the NDC primaries and she turned it down. Imagine that. A ticket people are fighting for and she said no.

Dickson said it plainly at a press conference: 'Do you know that Peter Obi and myself offered Aisha House of Reps? You the public you don't know. And she turned it down.' He added that she said she was too big for that level. Now she is contesting for the FCT Senate seat and crying that the primaries were manipulated against her. The irony is thick.

Look I admire Aisha Yesufu's activism but this is a pattern. She is quick to criticise the party and its leaders yet expects them to hand her a Senate ticket on a platter. Dickson warned that anyone who believes in Obi becoming president should not be talking down on the party or its leadership. You are hurting yourself he said. Is she fighting for change or just fighting for relevance?
