Fuel price finally drops but wait until you hear the catch
5 months ago
So I just saw that filling stations like Emedab, Rainoil, Empire Energy, Total, and AA Rano have reduced petrol price to between N1,330 and N1,350 per litre in Abuja. This is down from above N1,360 we were paying before. MRS and NNPCL stations even went lower to N1,317 to N1,335 last week. All thanks to Dangote Refinery slashing their gantry price first.
But here is the twist. Chinedu Ukadike, the IPMAN spokesperson, said this price will keep fluctuating because of the Iran-US-Israel crisis in the Middle East that has been going on for over three months. Brent crude dropped to $92.02 per barrel and WTI to $89.11. So this relief might not last long at all.
Are we ever going to see stable fuel prices in this country or we just keep riding this rollercoaster forever?
