DSS intercepts arms courier in Kano - governor confirms

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf just confirmed that DSS arrested a 30-year-old man named Muhammad Abubakar in Gezawa LGA while he was transporting weapons. The items recovered include four RPG tubes, three AK-47 rifles, and empty magazines - all heading to criminals in Katsina State.

The suspect collected the arms from someone called Bello at the Maigatari border in Jigawa State and was supposed to receive N450,000 after delivery. Governor Yusuf praised the DSS for their intelligence work, saying this interception prevented the weapons from reaching bandits and terrorists.

This is the kind of security operation that actually makes a difference. If these weapons had reached their destination, we would be reading about more attacks in Katsina.
