APC Anambra expels 7 members, sets up reconciliation committee
5 months ago
Anambra APC just held their expanded stakeholders meeting at the state secretariat in Awka on Friday and the party chairman Senator Emma Anosike did not mince words. They set up a five-man reconciliation committee headed by Chief Obi Onwuachu to settle aggrieved members after the primaries, but at the same meeting they ratified the expulsion of seven members who took the party to court.
Senator Anosike said anyone that takes the party to court is automatically expelled, and that APC is entering an operational election not a hide and seek one. He also declared they will do everything to make sure President Tinubu wins Anambra in 2027. The three senatorial candidates were announced too: Chief Mrs Chibuogwu Benson-Oraelosi for South, Dr Mrs Ngozi Kene-Chiedu for Central, and Chief Kingsley Nnalue for North.
This reconciliation and expulsion happening at the same time feels like typical Nigerian politics — they want peace but only on their own terms. Is this how you build a strong party or just push people further away?
