South Africa xenophobia: Nigeria begins emergency evacuation of citizens

Nigeria has started pulling its citizens out of South Africa after the latest wave of xenophobic attacks. The government announced the repatriation just hours ago, saying they cannot guarantee the safety of Nigerians there anymore.

This is not the first time o. We have seen this cycle before — attacks, tension, talks, then silence until the next outbreak. But this time the government is acting fast, bringing people back home immediately.

South Africa has been like this for years, targeting foreign business owners especially. The question is, how many more times will we go through this before something lasting changes?
