Portugal 2-1 Nigeria: What That Friendly Really Told Us About Eric Chelle's Super Eagles

So Portugal beat us 2-1 in Leiria recently and I swear some people are already writing off Eric Chelle. But abeg make we talk true — that match showed me something important about this team. We held our own against a top European side even in defeat.

I know some fans are already calling for Chelle's head but calm down joor. This was a friendly, not a World Cup qualifier. The way we played in patches especially in the second half showed me there's something to build on. Pedro Neto scored for them but our boys didn't look out of place.

Be honest — are we expecting too much too soon from Chelle or is this just normal Nigerian football impatience? Let's argue this.
