Oyo Governor Reveals Where Abducted Pupils Are Being Held

Governor Seyi Makinde just dropped a major update on the kidnapped schoolchildren and teachers from Oriire LGA. He said they are being held inside Old Oyo National Park — a massive 2,500 square kilometre area covering 10 local governments.

Makinde said security agencies are working hard but the terrain is making things tough, and he warned people to stop spreading fake news that could mess up the rescue. He urged everyone to use the state's toll-free emergency number 615 to report anything suspicious.

This abduction happened on May 15, 2026, and it's almost four weeks now. The governor said, "Our security reports indicate that they remain within the wider Old Oyo National Park axis." We just have to keep praying and hope these kids and teachers come back safely.
