That pastor with 75 wives in Anambra, I have questions

My brother, I woke up this morning and saw the news about the Anambra pastor who allegedly married 75 women. 75. Not 7. Not 17. 75. And the government has arrested him. Now, I am not one to judge another man's calling, but nwanne, this one is not calling, this one is mathematics.

I have been thinking about it all day. In my counseling experience, when a man says God told him to marry multiple women, I usually ask one question: did God tell the women too? Because the God I serve is not a God of confusion. He does not whisper to one person and stay silent to 74 others. E get why our people say that when a thing is too sweet, check the back. This man was not pastoring, he was collecting. And the women, many of them probably thought they were marrying a man of God. Chineke, the deception is deep.

I am not saying the man should be stoned. But I am saying the church needs to do better. We need to vet these men who call themselves prophets and apostles. If your pastor has more wives than your village has widows, something is wrong. I pray for those women, that they find healing and truth. And I pray for the church in Nigeria, that we stop confusing anointing with entitlement.
