Fubara has one year to work or resign protesters say

So these Take-It-Back Movement protesters showed up at Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt yesterday and told Governor Siminalayi Fubara straight up: work for Rivers people or resign. One protester who goes by 'Certified Courtist' even said in the video that Rivers people who stood against oppression are now disappointed in him and expected more, especially after he said he is no longer interested in 2027.

They accused Fubara of betraying the solidarity Rivers people showed him during the crisis with Nyesom Wike. The protester said, 'Oga, you have one year to work for the Rivers people. Nothing is happening in this state. We are worse than Abia State.' They also chanted 'President Bola Tinubu must go' and called out Wike, Tinubu, Shettima, Akpabio, and the APC. The group insists this is ideological not partisan, but the message is clear: if Fubara cannot deliver in one year, he should resign.

Honestly, the irony is not lost on me. These same people who fought for Fubara during the Wike crisis are now saying he has allowed Wike to turn Rivers into Wike State. The protester said even the little progress Fubara made is gone because of unnecessary politicking. So who is really running Rivers now?
