Chimamanda Adichie shares heartbreaking details about son Nkanu before his death

Chimamanda Adichie finally opened up about her twin son Nkanu who died in January at Euracare Hospital in Lagos, and the details are just too emotional. She wrote a letter describing how Nkanu was the older twin, named after her grandfather Dr. Nkanu Esege, and how he was so intelligent and caring even at that young age.

One story that got me — Chimamanda said last December she was complaining about knee pain after workout, and Nkanu started rubbing her knee saying "Mama, sorry." Like, what kind of baby does that??? She also said he would randomly stand on the sofa just to give her tight hugs and if she asked for a kiss he would immediately lean forward with his lovely lips. This baby was special, I swear.

Lagos State government has ordered HEFAMAA to investigate what happened at Euracare Hospital. The whole thing is just so sad. Imagine going through this as a mother. How do you even recover from this kind of loss?
