Chimamanda Adichie opens up about son Nkanu's death at Euracare Hospital

So Chimamanda Adichie finally released a letter describing her son Nkanu's final moments before he died at Euracare Hospital in Lagos back in January. And honestly this one is just too heavy.

She said Nkanu was the older twin and the softie — would hear her complaining about knee pain after workout and start rubbing her knee saying "Mama, sorry." The boy was barely a year old but had that emotional intelligence already. She described him as an absolute Daddy Boy because only his papa could put him to bed at night.

Now she says they have two highchairs, two car seats, two toddler beds in the bedroom — and now only one toddler. Her daughter has shut down, the surviving twin keeps asking for his brother. She said losing Nkanu has shattered their lives and they are still dragging issues with the hospital. Lagos State government has ordered HEFAMAA to investigate but what investigation can bring back that child?
