CAN declares Black Sunday over insecurity and my heart is heavy

So CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh has declared today June 14 2026 as Black Sunday across Nigeria to mourn all the people we don lose to insecurity. The man talk say our nation dey bleed and the church cannot keep quiet while innocent lives dey lost and families dey live in fear.

I dey think about my own village for Enugu where we no fit even go farm since last year because of bandits. My sister her husband dem kidnap am for December and till now we no see am. This thing no be joke at all.

Okoh also commend the House of Representatives for passing community and state policing bill on June 11. But I ask myself, how many more Black Sundays we go observe before government take action? Abeg who don lose person to insecurity for their family like this?
