Kaduna musician arrested for demanding fair governor

So Mycah Dangata, the Kaduna musician behind the Take Over Kaduna movement, has been arrested by security operatives. This happened on Tuesday and as of now nobody has given any official reason for his detention. But sources say it is because he has been campaigning against APC and pushing for a Southern Kaduna governor in 2027.

His supporters are saying this is pure political persecution. They claim the authorities are trying to build a case around an alleged stolen phone just to keep him locked up. Dangata has been using his music and social media to advocate for former senator Danjuma Laah and calling out what he sees as marginalisation of Southern Kaduna communities. Meanwhile Governor Uba Sani's camp is quiet.
