Kaduna activist arrested for saying vote out Tinubu, Sani
5 months ago
So Kaduna State government under Governor Uba Sani has arrested activist Zamani Musa, known as Mycah Dangata, for a video he made after the APC primaries. The guy was campaigning against President Tinubu and Governor Sani, saying people should vote out all APC candidates from top to bottom. He even said former Governor El-Rufai cared more about the people than Uba Sani does.
They used Operation Fushin Kaduna, that state security outfit, to pick him up. In the video he spoke in Hausa, calling out Sani's leadership style and saying the governor personally picks candidates for towns instead of letting people choose. He said that is not democracy, it is military rule. The source said Dangata might have angered the government by comparing Sani unfavourably with El-Rufai.
This is how we treat people who speak their mind in this country. A man just expressing his political opinion and they send security operatives after him. Where is the democracy in that?
