I borrowed money from my best friend's mum and lied that my father was sick

2019. I was in 200 level UNIPORT. My father had just retired and money was not moving in our house. I needed 15k for a project and my friend's mum was a tailor we all knew had money.

Told her my father was in UPTH and I needed transport to go see am. She gave me the money with tears in her eyes. I took the 15k and went to buy a jersey and bet on a match that same evening. Lost everything.

Till today that woman still asks about my father's health whenever she sees me. I just smile and say God is faithful. The lie has grown legs. Some debts you cannot repay because the person you borrowed from is not the person you stole from.
