Peter Obi says Nigerians want election rigging to happen

Peter Obi dropped a heavy one in Washington DC yesterday and the clip is everywhere now. The NDC presidential candidate said elections in Nigeria are rigged because we Nigerians want them to be rigged. He said it like that, plain English. He said if you vote and stay at your polling booth to make sure they count your votes there, it will be counted. But our people will vote and go to night vigil on Saturday and start praying while their votes are being stolen inside the counting room.

I get what he is saying o but this one is hard to swallow. The man said the average Nigerian doesn't know who his problem is because politics is transactional. He said Nigeria's only problem is leadership, that everything else God gave us. Even talked about engaging with agitators and releasing Nnamdi Kanu. He said there is no reason whatsoever to keep Nnamdi Kanu in detention, that calling people names on radio is not a criminal offence.

But be honest... Is Peter Obi right that we are the ones allowing election rigging? Or is this man blaming the victim again? Because I see people staying at polling units and their votes still disappear. Let's argue this one.
