Bandits threatened to shoot him for speaking Igbo on the phone

I just dey read this story about Mr Dennis Izuchukwu Okechi from Umuawa Alaocha in Abia State and my head dey there. Last Wednesday around 3pm, him and Mrs Onyinyechi Ekechukwu were coming back from farm when six bandits dragged them into the bush. The bandits demanded N10 million ransom and gave him phone to call his people.

But this man used Igbo to alert his community about their location in Udengwu forest. When the bandits realised he wasn't speaking English, they snatched the phone and threatened to shoot him dead. The community security outfit combed the bush and rescued them around midnight. The bandits fled when they saw the crowd approaching.
