2027: Obi has no reputation – Oshiomhole dismisses NDC’s chance of winning election

Senator Adams Oshiomhole has dismissed Peter Obi's chances of winning the 2027 presidential election, saying the Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate lacks reputation. In an interview with Mic On Podcast on Sunday, the lawmaker accused Obi of failing to manage party crises and breaking promises.

Oshiomhole recalled Obi's departure from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, despite earlier pledges to stay. "Peter Obi has no reputation, you cannot take him by his words," Oshiomhole said. He claimed Obi left APGA after losing a vice-presidential bid, then joined the Labour Party to avoid primaries. The former governor later abandoned Labour for a new party, the NDC, rather than contest internal elections, Oshiomhole added.
