Ejiofor: Primate Ayodele’s Political Predictions Becoming Embarrassing To Christianity

Human rights lawyer Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor has criticized Primate Elijah Ayodele over what he calls embarrassing political prophecies that harm Christianity. In a statement released on Saturday, Ejiofor said sacred altars are being turned into political observatories, where divine revelation is indistinguishable from political speculation.

Ejiofor questioned whether Heaven now holds daily political strategy meetings from which Ayodele alone receives exclusive briefings. He argued that prophecy once reserved for saving souls now competes with election forecasts and partisan calculations. "One must ask: At what point does prophecy cease to be spiritual guidance and begin to resemble political fortune-telling?" Ejiofor queried. He warned that such pronouncements generate tension, deepen political anxieties, and make democratic choices appear subordinate to prophetic predictions.
