Engr. Abdulauf Adamu from Jigawa State Polytechnic just dropped a full assessment of insecurity under Tinubu and the numbers are genuinely terrifying. He said that by February 2025, over 580,000 people mostly women had fled their homes in Katsina, Sokoto and Zamfara alone. And that was last year. In November 2025, at least 402 people mostly schoolchildren were kidnapped across four northern states in one month — that is bigger than Chibok.

Adamu also revealed that in Benue State alone, over 200 villages have been completely sacked with about 450,000 people displaced. He said attackers are now deliberately destroying boreholes, clinics and schools so that people cannot return. This is a scorched-earth strategy against rural life itself. And new groups like Lakurawa in Sokoto and Kebbi are now collecting taxes and enforcing rules like a parallel government.

Some people will say Tinubu inherited this mess and that is true. But the number of states affected by banditry went from nine in 2024 to 16 in 2025 under his watch. Kwara is now a new hotspot. Over 160 worshippers were abducted in January 2026. So tell me, at what point do we stop blaming Buhari and start asking what has actually improved? Be honest.
