Northern Nigeria will soon kill Nigeria

I just read this article on Tribune Online and honestly, it got me thinking. The headline says Northern Nigeria will soon kill Nigeria. That is a heavy statement but look at the reality. We have been hearing about regional tensions for years now and nothing changes. The North feels neglected, the South feels held back, and the center is just watching.

I am from Kano and I know how people here think. Many Northerners genuinely believe the government in Abuja does not care about us. Infrastructure, education, jobs — all lacking. Meanwhile, some Southerners think the North is holding the country back. Both sides have points but this blame game is not solving anything.

Let’s argue this. If the North actually pushed for secession or something drastic, would the rest of Nigeria survive? Or are we all just pretending this country is working? Be honest.
