Inflation hitting 15.93% again — we are not okay

NBS just dropped the inflation numbers for May 2026 and it's 15.93 percent, up from 15.69 percent in April. Food inflation is even worse at 16.96 percent. This is the third month straight that prices keep climbing.

They said on a month-on-month basis it rose by 1.75 percent, and food inflation jumped from 16.06 percent to 16.96 percent. CBN still holding interest rate at 26.50 percent. Meanwhile, my last market run for basic food items cost me almost double what I paid three months ago. How are we surviving like this?

It's not just numbers on a page. It's real. I had to cut out meat completely last week. Anybody else adjusting their budget again this month or is it just me?
