If we do not address this urgently, Northern Nigeria will soon kill Nigeria." He cited rising poverty, unemployment, and banditry as key drivers of the crisis. Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State echoed the concern, calling for immediate federal intervention in infrastructure and security. The summit, attended by traditional rulers and lawmakers, resolved to present a united demand to President Bola Tinubu for a special economic package for the region. Analysts say the warning underscores deepening regional tensions ahead of the 2027 elections.
