Mixed reactions trail Baba Ijesha, wife Luminee’s newborn announcement

Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, known as Baba Ijesha, and his wife Anjy Luminee have welcomed a baby boy, sparking mixed reactions on social media. The couple announced the birth on Tuesday, drawing both congratulations and criticism that reignited discussions about the actor's past legal troubles.

Among the reactions, Bobrisky's congratulatory message attracted criticism, while actress Moyo Lawal faced backlash for her support. Reality TV star Angel Smith questioned Luminee's decision to stay married despite the controversy. Social media commentator Daniel Regha suggested Luminee should have ended the marriage. However, actor Yomi Fabiyi and actress Olayinka Solomon sent goodwill messages. Baba Ijesha was convicted in 2022 for sexual assault of a minor and sentenced to 16 years, but the Court of Appeal overturned the conviction, leading to his release in November 2025.
