Aisha Yesufu is right — 2027 is about Peter Obi or nothing else

Aisha Yesufu posted on X today telling her supporters to ignore every conversation that is not about how to get Peter Obi elected and sworn into office in 2027. She said they have moved on and focused on the bigger picture. This is the kind of discipline Nigerian opposition politics has lacked for decades.

I have watched too many election cycles where we get distracted by every small controversy, every side debate, every attack from the other camp. Meanwhile the ruling party stays focused on winning. Yesufu is saying what many of us know but refuse to admit — you cannot fight a war on ten fronts and expect to win any of them.

Some people will say this is blind loyalty or that she is ignoring real issues within the NDC. But let me ask you this: when has divided attention ever won an election in Nigeria? Be honest with yourself.
