Peter Obi says he would have removed fuel subsidy in an organized manner, not on inauguration day
5 months ago
So Peter Obi don talk again about the fuel subsidy matter. Yesterday for an interview with Rufai Oseni, he say he never criticize Tinubu for removing subsidy, but he would have done am in an organized manner, not on inauguration day like Tinubu do am. He say he would have first sat down with operators in the industry, determine the exact amount we dey spend on subsidy, and also address exchange rate deregulation. But the most important thing according to am is to fight corruption head-on.
Obi also drop a bombshell when he ask: since subsidy was removed, what has been the impact on the average Nigerian? He say we don borrow even more money than when subsidy was still in place. That one pain me because e true. We dey suffer and the cost of everything don double but nobody dey see the benefit. So I want to ask una: if Peter Obi had been president and removed subsidy in an organized way, would our situation be different today? Or na just the same wahala we go dey face? Be honestβ¦
