I Lost My Virginity at 22 to a Married Woman in Abeokuta. I Was Not Ready.
This was back in 2021, right after my NYSC. I was posted to Abeokuta, and I was staying in a small room in Ita-Oshin. I was 22, fresh out of service, and I had never even kissed a girl properly. My colleagues used to call me 'Reverend Father' because I was so quiet about women.
There was this woman in our office, Mrs. Bola. She was 38, married with two kids, and she was the office administrator. She had this way of looking at me that made my stomach turn. One day, she asked me to help her carry some files to her car after work. I followed her to the parking lot, and before I knew it, she had pulled me into the back seat.
Omo, I won't lie , I was shaking. She was experienced, I was not. It lasted maybe three minutes. I did not even know what was happening until it was over. She gave me 10,000 naira and said, 'Don't tell anyone.' I felt so small after. Not because of the money, but because I had let it happen without even wanting it properly.
I never told anyone this story. Not my friends, not my pastor. I carried that shame for years. Now I look back and I realize , I was not ready. I let loneliness and pressure make a decision for me. If you are a young man and you have not done it yet, do not let anyone rush you. Your first time should be with someone who values you, not someone who uses you to scratch an itch.
