So the government is busy parading "repentant" bandits who have surrendered, but in Kaduna, one of them just killed a district head's grandson and kidnapped nine others. If these bandits have truly repented, why are they still carrying out attacks that shut down farms and highways? Is this peace deal just a free pass for them to keep terrorizing rural communities, or are we finally going to admit this "repentance" programme is a joke?
