Dele Momodu just predicted Atiku will win 2027 and finish Tinubu

Dele Momodu has gone ahead and made a very bold prediction about the 2027 presidential election. Speaking on Nevon Media with Oseni Rufai on Friday, the ADC chieftain said Atiku Abubakar will win. According to him, if Atiku holds his ground in the South while dominating the North, it will be over for both President Tinubu and Peter Obi. He said Atiku will secure at least 25% in 26 states and lock down the high-voting northern states.

Now I have read this several times and I am trying to understand the logic. Atiku has contested six times and never won. In 2023 he came third behind Tinubu and Obi. What has changed between now and 2027 that suddenly makes him the frontrunner? I am not saying it is impossible but the man is 79 years old and his party the ADC is not exactly a national powerhouse. The North is not a monolith and the South has never shown any appetite for an Atiku presidency.

Momodu is a loyal party man so I understand he has to talk his candidate up. But this prediction feels more like wishful thinking than a realistic assessment of the political terrain. The question I keep asking myself is this — what evidence is there that 2027 will be different from 2023 for Atiku? Because I am looking and I am not seeing it.
