Dangote and MRS reduce fuel price but my feeding money still the same

I swear when I saw the headline say Dangote Refinery partner MRS don reduce fuel pump price, my heart first jump small. I say maybe this month my 2,500 naira feeding allowance go stretch reach evening for once. But abeg, nothing change for my side. The transport fare from UNN to Awka still the same. The price of garri in the market still the same. Even the sachet water I buy every morning still 50 naira.

Na wa for this country o. They reduce fuel price but the effect no reach our pocket. E be like say the money we suppose save don already finish for somebody else pocket before we even see am. My roommate say make I stop complaining, that at least something good happen. But I ask am, when last you buy garri for 1,500? He just keep quiet.

I don start to think say maybe the real problem no be fuel price. The problem be say our whole system just dey designed to squeeze us from every angle. From the buka woman to the landlord to the transport union, everybody just dey pass the burden down. The only person wey no get anybody to pass am to na us, the common man. God when our own relief go come?
