Sunday Igboho and Fulani group are both wrong here

So this Concerned Fulani People of Nigeria group don come out to ask Tinubu and Makinde to call Sunday Igboho to order over his remarks about Fulani communities in Oyo State. According to their convener Ibrahim Barkindo Chubado, Igboho's two-hour ultimatum to Fulani leaders after that alleged kidnapping of a woman and her children is profiling an entire ethnic group. They say criminals should be treated as criminals, not based on ethnicity.

But let me ask una something. When has the government ever called anybody to order when Fulani herders are committing crimes? When herdsmen kill farmers in Benue, who dey call to order? When they kidnap people in Oyo, who dey ask questions? Now that Sunday Igboho is threatening to enter that forest reserve to rescue victims, suddenly everybody is worried about ethnic profiling. The Fulani group said, and I quote, 'We are not saying there are no bad eggs among Fulani, Hausa or other Northern ethnic groups. However, criminals should be treated as criminals.' That sounds nice on paper but where was this energy when the victims were crying for help?

I am not saying Igboho is a saint. But if the government cannot secure lives and property, people will defend themselves. The same way IPOB under Nnamdi Kanu is expelling members from dissolved DOS. When the system fails, citizens take matters into their own hands. Be honest, would you just sit down if your family was kidnapped and nobody was coming to help?
