Fayose just shocked everyone in Ekiti — endorsed APC governor against his own party
4 months ago
So yesterday, Ayodele Fayose walked into his polling unit in Afao-Ekiti, cast his vote, and then dropped a bombshell that has everyone in Ekiti talking. The former PDP governor stood there and told reporters that Biodun Oyebanji of the APC has already won the election. He said it with his full chest — "Oyebanji has already won the election."
Now, this is the same Fayose who governed Ekiti twice under PDP. The same man who has spent years fighting APC at every turn. But yesterday he was praising Oyebanji, talking about the "body language of the people" and predicting an "overwhelming victory" for the APC candidate. Meanwhile, Wole Oluyede is the actual PDP candidate in this election — the man Fayose's own party fielded. And Fayose just ignored him completely.
This is the kind of political plot twist that makes you wonder what is really happening behind closed doors in Ekiti. Either Fayose knows something we don't, or he has decided that party loyalty means nothing when the incumbent has already locked down the state. What do you think — is Fayose playing 4D chess or has he just abandoned PDP completely?
