New York City Mayor Mamdani has signed an executive order requiring employers to provide shade, water, and rest breaks for outdoor workers during extreme heat. This move aims to protect thousands of construction workers, delivery riders, and street vendors from heat stress. It's a big win for labor rights globally, and Nigerians working in hot conditions can learn from this policy.
