Taraba street sweepers salary cut to 10k , Naija wahala no dey finish

I just see the news about Taraba Sanitation Agency cutting street sweepers salary to 10k. 10k for sweeping streets under sun every day. My sister who work as cleaner for Aba tell me say she collect 18k before and they still owe her three months. Now 10k? That is not salary, that is insult.

See my brother, I understand say government dey struggle. But when you cut the salary of the person wey dey clean your environment to 10k, you are telling them say their work is worthless. Meanwhile the same people wey cut am go still collect their own full salary plus allowances. The math no balance.

I remember when I was starting my phone accessories business in Onitsha, I had nothing. But I told myself say I would rather sell pure water than work for somebody wey go pay me 10k and still treat me like slave. At least pure water, your profit margin clear. You know wetin you dey get. But this 10k salary with deductions? God abeg.
