Paul Ibe just told Tinubu to resign on Arise TV and the man has points
4 months ago
Paul Ibe, Atiku Abubakar's spokesman, went on Arise TV yesterday and directly told President Tinubu to resign. He said the primary duty of government is security and welfare, and by that measure Tinubu has failed. Ibe asked a simple question: are we more secure now than we were in 2023? The answer is no, and that is the truth.
He gave specifics — Bokkos in Plateau where about two dozen people were killed just last Sunday night, the ongoing kidnappings in Benue, Oyo, Kogi. He said the government's best is not good enough and called Tinubu incompetent and clueless. On state police, Ibe said he supports it in principle but accused the government of pushing it now for political reasons ahead of 2027, not because they care about security.
I am not an Atiku supporter but when someone calls out failure with specific names and dates, you have to listen. The question is: if your government cannot protect children and communities, what exactly is the point of holding office?
