Bayo Onanuga should swear with Bible that beggars haven't increased under Tinubu

Rufai Oseni just dragged Bayo Onanuga on Arise TV this morning and I am still laughing. Rufai told him to swear with the Bible that the number of Nigerians begging him for urgent N2,000 has not increased since Tinubu came to power.

This is the kind of disconnect that makes you wonder if these people live in the same Nigeria as the rest of us. Onanuga is citing infrastructure projects and student loans while ordinary Nigerians are skipping meals, selling their last belongings, and sending desperate messages to anyone they think can help. If your own Special Adviser on Information cannot see the suffering, then what exactly is he advising the president about?

I want to ask Onanuga a simple question: when last did you walk through a market in Mushin or Mile 12 or even walk along the streets of Abuja and interact with a trader, a keke driver, a mother buying garri? Because the Nigeria you describe does not exist for 90 percent of citizens. Be honest, when last did a stranger ask you for N2,000 and you said no because it has become too frequent?
