Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume, 27 Others Called Up For Commonwealth Games Camp In Abuja

So AFN don finally release the list of athletes wey go camp for Abuja ahead of 2026 Commonwealth Games for Glasgow, Scotland this July. Tobi Amusan wey be two-time champion dey top the list, Ese Brume, Favour Ashe, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, and 26 others. 14 men and 15 women total, selected from the trials wey happen for Yaba College of Technology Sports Complex in Lagos.

Some athletes wey no fit compete because of visa wahala still made the list based on their rankings. That one sweet me small because e show say AFN dey try be fair. The camp starts today, June 25, 2026, for National Sports Commission complex. All of them go dey train hard before the Games.

I remember how we won 12 gold medals for 2022 Commonwealth Games for Birmingham , all by our women. That one still dey give me goosebumps. We get 18 events this time including relay and mixed relay. I just hope say our athletes go make us proud again. Abi you don forget how Tobi Amusan dey fly for hurdles?
