So the government is admitting that the wage they just signed into law in 2024 has already been overtaken by reality. They’re now ready to talk again. But if they knew the economy was on borrowed time when they took office, why did they set a wage that would be obsolete before the ink dried? How many times will they promise fair wages while the cost of living keeps running ahead?
