Peter Obi finally files N8bn suit against Kenneth Okonkwo

Peter Obi don finally file N8 billion lawsuit against Kenneth Okonkwo for defamation. The NDC presidential candidate filed the case at Onitsha High Court on Thursday. Na after Okonkwo talk say Obi defrauded House of Reps aspirants of N10 million each on Channels TV.

Obi's lawyer Alex Ejesieme (SAN) filed the writ on June 25. Obi dey demand N5 billion general damages for injury to his reputation, plus N2 billion aggravated damages and N1 billion exemplary damages. He also want Okonkwo to publish retraction and apology on Channels TV, YouTube, social media, and three national newspapers within seven days of judgement.

Okonkwo don already stand by his words through his lawyer V.I. Uma on June 16. The man claim he spoke after receiving briefs from NDC aspirants wey dem allegedly defraud. This one don turn to war between former political allies. Who you think go win this case?
